Our plans are set to go now and we will visit Foamhenge in WV. We have been reading the Roadside America website for other goofy things we can see along the way. We are also trying to match our route with the Diners, Drive-in's and Dives website to make a culinary statement along the way as well. It should be interesting.
My goal is to find songs from every state we drive through on the way to New Jersey so that Debbie won't have to hear 15 Miles on the Erie Canal this trip. I am currently trying to get the words to My Old Kentucky Home and must Google other states to find songs. Although this is not the pleasure trip we took last year, I'm hoping to get to show Debbie more of the "Jersey Shore" than she got to see last time less Snookie and The Situation of course. And yes Dave, I think Foamhenge will be fun. Stay tuned for fun and photos. Even though this is a serious trip, anytime Debbie and I are together there are always giggles at a minimum and usually much, much more. I just thought of one for West Virginia..wasn't there a John Denver song..Almost Heaven West Virginia? I'm on a roll already!
Looking forward to going along with you on this trip. Especially the good EATS!

DeleteI can always count on you and my friend Dave to read my musings! I have a good compilation of songs to sing to Debbie as she drives and since I couldn't find one for Maryland Dave told me the Star Spangled Banner was written there so that's it then. I'm still searching for a song about Virginia and I have many for New Jersey but they are mostly about cities like Avalon and By the Sea, By the Sea, By the Beautiful Sea and such. It makes me giggle to make Debbie laugh as she does NOT sing anything. I think of you often and wish we could cruise together soon so I could then drive you crazy as well!
