On the Way to Cape May...

I can't explain how beautiful the weather has been.  I got organized and worked for awhile then we decided to walk down the street to "Jamaican Me Crazy".  Several years ago when I was here with the grand kids they loved the store..  Boogie boards, bathing suits, T shirts and everything in between.  Well during the winter of that year the store burned and the building it was in is now torn down.  It appears Mr. Jamaican Me Crazy owed a lot of people and burned his own shop.  Now out of jail he appears to be back in business but now has two stores instead of one...crime apparently does pay some people.  After we got back we were going to drive to Cape May so I called mom to see if she wanted us to get her something or take her to lunch and she was feeling better so we went and picked her up.  We took her to her favorite restaurant Clarey's where all the waitress's made a fuss over her.  Debbie had pancakes and we talked her into trying scrapple and as you can tell from the photo below she was did NOT like it and was trying to move it off her plate. The waitress asked her who told her to order that and that she personally doesn't order anything with "crap" in the middle.  Afterwards mom wanted to go for a ride so we rode around where she told us to go and then took her home and visited.  Within an hour after that she was exhausted and needed a nap.  On the ride with mom there was a Christmas Shoppe and Debbie wanted to go back there so we did.  After that we drove to Cape May which is the southern most point in New Jersey and one of the oldest beach communities on the NJ coast.  It has some grand old homes and many of them have been restored to their original beauty.  It also has a lighthouse and Sunset Beach is the site of the famous shipwreck of the SS Atlantus which was made of concrete among other things I guess.  We met my sister at the tourist shoppes and then had dinner at Nino's.  I was beginning to feel like I was getting a sore throat so we came back after dinner (we brought most of it home).  I took some meds and went to bed early.

  1. Did you see any mini golfers in wheelchairs? And I cant believe you would do that to your BFF, feeding her scrapple. What are you trying to kill her?!? It's like bac-os and croutons and mayo, according to dad....
